The Village Gallery Current Exhibit: VU Photography Students

The Village Gallery will showcase the fine art works of 5 Valparaiso University Junior art majors. ”60 Credits”: Valparaiso University Junior Exhibition was juried by Richard Brauer, Professor Emeritus of Valparaiso University and Director of the university’s Brauer Museum of Art.

The fine arts photography exhibit showcases the expressive visions of each student. There are 16 works chosen by Professor Brauer.  “I like artworks that provoke and clarify ideas and provide beauty.” states Brauer. 

The exhibit kicks off with A Meet the Artist Reception on Sunday, September 29 at 1:30 p.m. The students will give a gallery talk at the reception, which is free and open to the public. Richard Brauer will also his interpretations on the artwork on display. The exhibit can be viewed at The Village Gallery through November 14.  The exhibiting artists are Emily Gustin, Kristen Haling, Ryann Lutz, Amoreena Roll and Madison Wilson.

The Village Gallery is a nonprofit art gallery at Pines Village Retirement Communities offering artistic experiences to the community to enhance its appreciation and understanding of various art forms and to give support and recognition to artists. The Gallery is open from 8:30 am - 4:00 pm Monday - Friday. All exhibits are free to the artist and public.
