“Supporting Veterans Together – A Community Conversation” Keynote Presentation with SFC (RET) Gregory Allen Stube on May 9

Pines Village Retirement Communities invites the public to attend a community conversation designated to educate, inspire, and dispel the stigmas that surround post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and connect veterans, their families and the community.

Supporting Veterans Together – A Community Conversation will be held on Thursday, May 9, 8 am - 11 am at the Valparaiso Ivy Tech Auditorium.

Our keynote speaker, SFC (RET) Greg Stube, is a veteran of the US Army Special Forces and author of the leadership book, “Conquer Anything: A Green Beret’s Guide to Building Your A-Team.”

Stube served twenty-three years as a Special Forces Green Beret. In 2006, during Operation Medusa in Afghanistan, he was critically wounded. Stube will weave his way through his personal experience, sharing the many lessons he learned along his road to recovery. His message is one of extreme adversity, inspiration, and hope.

Following Stube’s presentation, attendees are encouraged to visit the Veterans Service Provider Resource Fair. Vendors will include Blachly, Tabor, Bozek & Hartman, US Department of Veteran Affairs, Indiana Depart of Veteran Affairs, Northwest Indiana Community Action, Porter County PACT Porter-Starke Services, Inc., Veterans Life Changing Services, VNA of Porter County, Work One, Woman in Bloom and more.

This is a FREE community-wide event. Veterans, their families, area leaders, and the greater community are encouraged to attend.
