Lindsay Sandbothe

Nature Artist

Date: Sunday, September 23

Time: 1:30 p.m.

Lindsay Sandbothe is an award winning nature artist based in Highland, IN that specializes in realistic bird portraits on wood panels. Her incredible paintings of birds are created through multi step techniques for painting on wood in acrylic, including staining, blocking, layering, and glazing while rendering detailed portraits of birds in their natural environment

She received BFAs in Art Education and Art History from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and for over eleven years has worked in the administrative offices at the American Academy of Art in Chicago. Lindsay is also a member of the Nature Artist Guild and teaches painting workshops through the guild's affiliate Morton Arboretum and other Chicago-area artist groups.

The exhibit kicks off with A Meet the Artist Reception on Sunday, September 23 at 1:30 pm. Lindsay will give a gallery talk at the reception, which is free and open to the public. Paintings can be viewed and purchased at The Village Gallery through October 25. See more of Lindsay's works here.
