Pines Village was originally planned and created in 1983 by the Porter County Council of Church Women.  It is now owned and operated by Pines Village Retirement Communities, Inc.  Business and civic leaders serve on our volunteer board of directors.

Pines Village Retirement Communities is a member of both the American (AAHSA) and the Indiana (IAHSA) Associations Homes and Services for the Aging.  We were featured in the national AAHSA publication, futureAge, for our ability to implement a successful wellness program.  And the New York Times, praised AAHSA members in an editorial that stated nonprofit providers are shaping daily life “around the needs and preferences of residents.”

As a non profit, we have no shareholders to pay.  Instead we use our funds to improve our properties, hire great staff, and enhance services for older adults.
