Michiana artist, Susan Henshaw will have a solo exhibit from January 20 through March 6 at The Village Art Gallery. Henshaw's pastels will make you feel like you are entering a wooded trail or strolling the beach at the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore.
Throughout the year, The Village Gallery showcases a variety of talented artists, we hope you will visit our gallery often. The Hazel Hannell Collection has a permanent home at Pines Village, and the public is welcome to stop by daily Monday - Friday, from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

DESIGN - Environments for Aging is the 14th edition in a series of senior care design competitions cosponsored by Long-Term Living magazine, the Society for the Advancement of Gerontological Environments and The Center for Health Design. The rennovation and expansion of Pines Village is one of only two independent living communities featured and was included in the Honorable Mentions and Obstacles & Solutions Sections. The publication showcases the latest concepts in elder-friendly design and they tell how designers, facility owners and government regulators collaborated to realize them. The idea behind the DESIGN/EFA competition is not simply to showcase the elite; it is to open up the work of senior care design for all to see, evaluate and learn from.
