Through her travels she has begun collecting the personal stories people share as they remember, relate and reminisce. She is gather stories in a collection of photos and words that can be published together to celebrate the bicycles in our lives. Stop in The Village Gallery and drop off your story or email Donna at firstname.lastname@example.org and put Bicycle Project in the subject line or go to the facebook page. Her exhibit will be on display through June 1.
Continuing our recycling efforts, we have partnered with Working Bikes to collect old bikes that will be refurbished and given new homes. Working Bikes, a non-profit organization in Chicago, rescues discarded bicycles and gives them new life by redistributing them as tools of empowerment in local and global communities. They donate over 6,000 bicycles each year to international and local partners. Help us give old bikes new homes!
