Pines Village Retirement Communities is proud to announce that construction is underway to "rebuild the heart of our community." The campus recently turned 25 years old. And just like any home, after 25 years, it's time to make some changes.
When Pines Village was originally constructed the average age upon move-in was 65. At that time, residents were seeking services out in the community-at-large. Today, the average age is 88 upon move-in. Therefore, Pines Village must expand to meet the changing needs of the residents.
So pardon our dust and join in the excitement as we move forward to improve the quality of life for the people we serve.
Plans for Rebuilding the Heart of Our Community
Paths of Giving Campaign established to rebuild gardens and landscape
In meeting the new building codes established by Porter County, our construction project included the creation of an additional pond on our property to ensure drainage standards. We lost our magnificent trees and ornamental gardens in this process, but new plantings have begun. With over 5 acres to design, our resident gardeners have been working closely with the landscape designer to create an outdoor panorama that will evolve over time. Gardens are a place of memories, a special time shared with a love one, watching a baby bird take its first flight or the place we seek in times of comfort. We have established our Paths of Giving campaign to allow our family and friends to help build the gardens in our village. Please consider a gift that will grow with time.
Partners
The project will cost $10,595,000 and will be funded through bonds secured by a Letter of Credit provided by Centier Bank.
PVRC has hired Community Living Solutions LLC (CLS), a design build company, to manage all phases of the renovation project. CLS was chosen because they have extensive experience and specific expertise in creating senior living environments.
