• Campbell St. Café is a unique combination: a public restaurant welcoming all ages and a community center for local adults, age 55+. It is located within Meridian Woods, a subdivision for older adults, developed by Pines Village Retirement Communities. Campbell St. Café has taken the neighborhood coffee shop one step further and created a place where people of all ages can stay connected.  The Café offers mouth-watering breakfasts, lip-smacking lunches and fine gourmet coffee.

• Simply: food brings people together. The concept of a “café” provides the ideal location for socialization, and the public restaurant setting provides opportunities to bridge generations.

• It is a nonprofit organization. All tips collected are distributed to charities, with a concentration on charities that provide assistance to older adults. Also, unlike regular restaurants, the Café offers a fitness center and programs for people 55+. Our friendly staff may introduce customers to each other, promote participation, and join in the fun. Anyone age 55+ may become a Café member by paying a small annual membership fee. As a member, one receives a 20% discount on his or her food, access to the fitness center, and opportunities to participate in Café programs.

What programs and events are offered at the Café for people 55+?

• Thus far, we have offered Yoga, theme dinners like Mardi Gras and Cinco de Mayo, health education seminars, a Victorian Tea and more.
• Our goal is to offer programs and events that interest Café members with an emphasis on positive aging. The possibilities are endless.

• The Café is located in the Meridian Woods subdivision, just north of Bullseye Lake Road in Valparaiso.
• Business hours are: Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 2:00 pm, Saturday 7:00 am – 11:30 am, and we are closed on Sunday.
